WhoAmAI is built to respect your privacy. In short: we don't collect personal data, and we don't track you.
No accounts, no tracking
WhoAmAI has no sign-in and no user accounts, and we do not use advertising, cookies, or third-party trackers. The app does collect one narrow, anonymous signal to help improve gameplay — see "Anonymous gameplay data" below.
Your gameplay stays on your device
Your conversations, guesses, and statistics are stored locally on your iPhone and are not transmitted to us.
On-device AI
The characters are powered by Apple's on-device foundation models (Apple Intelligence). Your conversations are processed on your device and are not sent to us or to any server.
Contestant updates
The app periodically downloads a content file (information about the historical and public figures you can play) from our content host (Cloudflare R2). This is a one-way download of game content; no personal information is sent. Our hosting provider may record standard technical request logs (such as IP address and timestamp) as part of delivering the file; see Cloudflare's privacy documentation.
Anonymous gameplay data
To improve how WhoAmAI recognizes questions and guesses, the app may send us the single message you typed when it triggers a hint or is treated as a guess — along with the character being played, the app and content versions, and your device's general language setting.
This is anonymous: no name, account, email, device identifier, or location is included, and it can't be linked to you or to your other activity. We use it only to improve question and guess recognition — never for advertising, tracking, or profiling — and we never sell or share it. Obvious personal details (such as email addresses or phone numbers) are removed from the text before it's sent.
This is on by default; turn it off anytime in Settings → Privacy → Share Anonymous Question Data. We keep this data for about 90 days, then delete it automatically. Because it's anonymous, we can't identify or remove one person's data on request — turning the setting off stops any further collection.

Purchases
WhoAmAI Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment details; purchases are handled entirely by the App Store under Apple's privacy policy.
Notifications
The optional daily reminder is scheduled on your device. It's local — there is no push server, and nothing about it is sent to us.
Feedback you send us
If you email us feedback, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to respond and improve the app.
Children
WhoAmAI does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
